Tim King

Dr Tim King is a highly experienced computer industry professional with over 35 years experience. He provides technical due diligence to Venture Capital companies when they are thinking of making investments in IT companies and also advises companies on protecting their intellectual property. He has also provided programme assurance services to various government departments in respect of large IT projects.
He also lectures (very part-time and unpaid) at Cambridge University and UCL on e-commerce and e-marketing. He is a member of the British Computer Society, a Chartered Engineer, a Chartered Scientist and a Chartered IT Professional.
He has significant experience in raising money – both as grants and equity – and has advised a number of start-up companies on their strategy.
Dr King has a PhD in computer science from Cambridge University where he wrote one of the world’s first relational database systems. He is best known for writing the operating system of the Commodore Amiga in the 1980s.
