Henrik Strindberg - Findwise Research
Mr Henrik Strindberg is the manager of Findwise AB’s research process and is responsible for the company’s research portfolio. He has a M.Sc in Informatics from the School of Business and Commercial Law, University of Gothenburg. He has 13 years experienced of R&D Management, Project Management and IT Management with a dedicated specialization in Enterprise Search. He has a history of entrepreneurship, exploitation activities and has a track record to build cooperations between enterprises, SME’s and the academy.
Findwise AB, founded in 2006, is a vendor independent SME, expert in creating solutions based on the leading enterprise search technology platforms: Autonomy IDOL, FAST ESP (a Microsoft subsidiary), Google GSA, IBM OmniFind, Microsoft SharePoint, Exalead, LucidWorks Enterprise and Apache Lucene/Solr (Open Source). In addition to our technical expertise, we take pride in offering a large number of unique search related skills in areas such as business analysis, usability, computional linguistics, information management and security. Findwise is mainly a knowledge based company with five offices, Gothenburg (HQ), Stockholm, Copenhagen, Oslo and Warsaw. Of our 78 employees (March 2012) 95% hold a Masters degree from an accredited University. Our technical focused employees are developers skilled in mixed environments, integration, architecture and development of (Distributed/Cloud) search and content processing based systems. Findwise has experience from working with more than seventy clients that are mainly (but not limited to) large companies and organisations in northern Europe. The clients are spread across a wide range of industries and many are blue-chip companies, such as SKF, Ericsson, the Swedish Armed Forces, SEB, SAAB, TeliaSonera, Region Västra Götaland (healthcare authority), Volvo, TINE, Johnston Press and Wolters Kluwer.
Findwise is dedicated to Open Source, a frequent committer to the community and appears regularly on conferences such as Lucene Revolution, Berlin Buzzword, Enterprise Search Summit. Findwise is also the organizer of Oslo and Stockholm Lucene meetups. In May 2012, Findwise announced the release of the Open Source distributed parallel content processing framework, Hydra, on Lucene Revolution in Boston, US.
Our main R&D focus areas are: Search based applications, Index and data connector components, Search Engine components, (Distributed/Cloud based) Content Processing Systems, Text Analytics, Data Mining, User behaviour analytics and profiling analytics.
