Exhibition
The IRFS Exhibition 2010 was the place to discover and test new applications in the field of professional information retrieval and knowledge management, some of them at the development stage, others on the verge of being launched:
List of Exhibitors at the IRF Symposium 2010:
- ChemAxon: A leader in providing chemical software development platforms and desktop applications for the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries, ChemAxon demonstrates Markush structure enumeration and search, including visualization technologies for working with Markush search results.
- NRIA: The French research institute presents PATATRAS, a search tool for collections of scientific articles and multilingual patent documents, and GROBID, a human competitive extraction of patent and non patent references in the patent description and scientific articles.
- ITI: The Informatics and Telematics Institute from Greece demonstrates PatMedia, an Innovative search engine for patent images.
- Minesoft: The innovative global patent information provider showcases PatBase, the largest commercial single patent database combining full-text and full patent families with customized corporate archive and alerting system, as well as iNSIGHT Pro, an integrated patent analytics platform.
- Ontotext/Sheffield:The NLP group from the Department of Computer Science of the University of Sheffield and the Bulgarian expert for innovative semantic technologies present GATE, an open source software capable of solving almost any text processing problem and the SAM suite which provides annotation and multiparadigm search over patent data.
- PHASAR: The Dutch company makes the results of academic research projects in Text Mining at the University of Nijmegen available for applications in the software industry. It showcases the TM4IP Text Mining System with at his heart PHASAR, a new kind of search engine using pairs of words in a semantic relation.
- Spinque: A spin-off of Centrum Wiskunde & Informatica, Spinque introduces Search by Strategy, a tool to define and execute search strategies with customized access to any data source and transparent workflow to the best search results.
- TechMT: The Austrian group presents a large-scale automatic translation system for Japanese/Chinese to English patent translation.
- Treparel: The Dutch company showcases its KMX patent visualization prototype, an extension of the KMX software that provides support for knowledge discovery, analysis of dedicated databases with research databases as well as multiple analysis capabilities, from text mining to statistical analysis of large document sets.
